Farming the land for the long term

Modern agricultural practice, efficient use of resources and steady investment in technology.

Good harvests depend on land, water and people being looked after well — not only this season, but for many seasons to come. This page sets out how Poledelstvo Erdzelija approaches that.

Modern agricultural practice

The company's direction is set by modern agricultural practice: timely, well-planned field work, the right equipment for each task, and decisions based on experience of the land and the crops grown on it.

Using water well

Advanced irrigation systems help keep production stable when rainfall falls short. Water is a limited resource, so the aim is to use it where and when the crop needs it.

Efficient machinery and field operations

Modern machinery makes it possible to prepare, sow, care for and harvest approximately 1,600 hectares within short seasonal windows. Efficient field operations mean fewer passes, less wasted time and better use of fuel and inputs.

Experienced people

Experienced personnel bring the judgement that equipment alone cannot: knowing the fields, reading the season and handling each crop at the right moment.

Investing in new technology

Poledelstvo Erdzelija is focused on investing continuously in new agricultural technologies, adopting tools and methods that make the work more efficient and production more dependable.

Caring for the land

Land that is farmed every year has to stay productive for the long term. Managing it with that in mind — rather than for a single harvest — is part of how we think about sustainable agriculture.
